e-Transfer Enhanced Features

Making Interac e-Transfers® just got even easier.



    Automatically deposit e-Transfers directly into your account without having to answer a security question.

    For senders, that means no more needing to think up and share security answers with recipients – while still enjoying the security and peace of mind that you know who is receiving your transfer.

    Register today:

    1. Log in to your Edam Credit Union online banking and navigate to Autodeposit which is found in the Interac e-Transfer settings.

    2. Register your email address and link your deposit account of choice. Any transfers to the registered email address will be automatically deposited into the account.

    3. You will receive an email to confirm your registration. Check your inbox and click "Complete Registration".


    • Autodeposit registration will expire if you have not received any e-transfers for 12 months. Members will receive an email from Interac about 1 week before their Autodeposit registration expires.

    • When you register for this feature, you are registering your email address, therefore e-transfers must be sent to that email address to be deposited automatically. e-Transfers sent via text message will have to be deposited manually.


    Request Money

    Easily request money you’re owed or send a friendly reminder to family and friends to repay borrowed funds.

    When you send a request for money, the recipient is notified instantly and can accept the request. If accepted, the requested amount will be automatically deposited into your account and you will be notified when funds are available.

    Begin using this feature today:

    1. Log in to your Edam Credit Union online banking and navigate to Interac e-Transfer Request Money.

    2. Add or select a recipient you wish to send the request to.

    3. Type in the specific amount you are requesting and select the account you would like the funds to be deposited into. You can also include a personal message with the request.

    4. You will need to confirm you have consent from the recipient to request the funds.

    5. An Interac e-Transfer notification will then be sent to your contact. Once the recipient has fulfilled your request, funds will be automatically deposited into your bank account within 30 minutes. You will receive a notification upon the funds being deposited to your account.
